Dear Subscriber,
At the crux of artistic free speech is this issue. Who gets a “free pass” for the misogynist, racist, sexist, and other lyrics used in popular public and artistic speech?
Albert Camus said it all, for me, even though I might disagree with, or not listen to, some musical artists or other visual and/or literary artists.
“Without freedom, no art; art lives only on the restraints it imposes on itself and dies of all others.”

World Nation/State Censorship
With this in mind, I am one of the Historical Fiction artists who creates from real history, no matter how “dark or gloomy” it may seem to the modern reader or how improbably racist, sexist, and misogynist it may read to the ears of the person who wants just “cozy” histories.
I lose many, many, many readers this way as entire countries are today censoring reality and history as I now write this down. The truth is now being replaced by a watered down, delusional (in my opinion) rendition that protects the power regimes of today from scrutiny and possible political uprisings by the “unwashed masses.” This, to me, is not a left versus right issue. It’s a freedom issue. I don’t know what it is to you, but only you can express it in your terms, and this expression, also, is protected freedom.
Those who wish to pick my Caltech and college educated brain for my Vedanta beliefs simply needs to watch this YouTube movie called Inner and Outer Worlds. I find it quite hilarious that there’s an age restriction on this video for viewing it. If you watch it, you’ll see why. If I’d viewed this in Kindergarten, I would have achieved my own moksha at a much younger age!
Alan Watts, one of my many gurus, once said that the best form of government is a “free anarchy,” without any central powers. I agree. What do you think? If we don’t trust others, then we really can’t exist in harmony with the Cosmos, in my opinion. There are too many “dividers and few uniters,” today. True unity, however, requires Truth in what our leaders are doing and what we’re doing to ourselves. Good historical fiction puts this out there for you to see.
Thanks for your support, and keep reading and expressing your personal freedoms.
